Chairman’s Report for 2007

Once again, another year comes to a close and it is time to make a report. I think that I can say that it has been another good year. The healing sessions at the Hub have again been successful. We had 45 new patients, 64 regulars. Our best day was in January - 16 patients, our poorest day in June- 2 patients. In total we had 137 patients come to us for healing during the year.

The Healer Development Group continues to prosper. At the beginning of the year we had rather a lot of noise from the group in the adjoining room, so we decided to book both Ash and Sycamore rooms. We put up the contribution to £3 each and it has been very successful. We have an average of 12 to 15 people at each session. There is a very good rapport with some very interesting topics and plenty of lively debate. We also have very good healing sessions. We have four members taking their full membership in the next few months, one member doing the NFSH courses and another member applying to take them.

We have participated in several events with the NFSH, namely – Motor Neurone Disease AGM at the Metropole Hotel at the NEC in September, the Mind Body Spirit Exhibition at the Clarendon Suite in Birmingham on 3 November and Nursing in Practice at the NEC on November 21^st. All were successful with positive results and feedback.

We were invited to give healing at the Solihull Natural Health Group Development Group at The Hub in Touchwood twice during 2007. In March we had few healers and many wanting healing. When we were asked to return in October, we had many healers but, sadly, only a few patients. However, we enjoyed both evenings.

I would like to thank both Sarah and Peter for their valiant efforts, as Secretary and Assistant Secretary. We owe them both our gratitude for all their hard work. I would also like to thank Brain for keeping our finances in order.

I would like to thank all our members for their loyalty and support – without which we could not do this work.
